  • SAIS Johns Hopkins - University Rome Auditorium 1619 Massachusetts Avenue Northwest Washington, DC, 20036 United States (map)

Please join the Center for Transatlantic Relations at SAIS Johns Hopkins and the Institute for Women's Policy Research (IWPR) for coffee and a lively conversation with Lady Catherine Ashton, moderated by Teri Shultz.

Lady Catherine Ashton, Baroness Ashton of Upholland, is a life peer in the House of Lords. From 2009-2014, she served as the European Union's first High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy. Among other things, she negotiated the Iran Nuclear Deal alongside Secretary John Kerry and brought Serbia and Kosovo to a long needed agreement.

Teri Shultz is a reporter covering the EU, NATO, and the Benelux countries for NPR, CBS Radio, Deutsche Welle and other news outlets. She is also a senior policy analyst for Security Europe.

Professor Federiga Bindi, Senior Fellow at SAIS John Hopkins University in Washington DC, and Director Foreign Policy Initiative in the Institute for Women's Policy Research will introduce the conversation.

This program is made possible by a Jean Monnet Erasmus+ grant.
